Talking to partners

Bringing the work to the Middle East.

Gaza, Syria and the refugee routes across the region. We are looking for the local clinicians and humanitarian partners to start with, and we need your help to get there.

What we have seen in Ukraine, trauma lodging in the body long after the fighting stops, is not Ukrainian. It is human. We will not parachute in. As in Ukraine, our first job is to listen, then to train local clinicians who already understand the language, the culture and the people.

What your support pays for

  1. Now

    Finding partners

Conversations with local clinicians and humanitarian organisations in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon.

  2. Next

    A first training group

Adapting the Equal to Equal training for Arabic-speaking clinicians, revised with them for culture and context.

  3. Then

    A first deployment

A mobile crisis team working with organisations already on the ground.

Everything raised before launch goes to finding partners, preparing the training and running the first group. If you work in mental health or humanitarian response in the region, write to us at contact@bodynamicwithoutborders.org.

What we’ll build, as it works in Ukraine

The work in Ukraine
  1. A trainer places her hands on a veteran’s shoulders while the group watches.

    Stabilise

Hands-on work with people in crisis.

  2. A training group sits in a wide circle in a wood-panelled hall.

    Train

Local clinicians learn the method in groups.

  3. A large group of graduates holding their certificates.

    Hand over

Graduates carry the work on themselves.

Help us start in the Middle East.

Gifts now pay for the groundwork: partners, translation, and the first training group.
